Jessica Scout Malone is a director, actor, and movement enthusiast with a passion for puns and intersectional feminist theatre. She is currently based in Boston, MA.
Jess was born and raised on Long Island, NY and has spent some time living in Brighton, England. She is named after Scout Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird, and when she grows up she wants to be fictional White House Press Secretary CJ Cregg (you can keep the current real White House Press Secretary far away from her). She is an Actor Combatant certified by the Society of American Fight Directors, and fervently believes that more women should play with swords.
She believes in the power of a functioning democracy and transformative nature of sharing. She is grateful for the existence of podcasts and proud to live on the same Earth as Guy Fieri. Also, register to vote.
She graduated in 2017 her BFA in Theatre Arts from Boston University. She has also trained in Classical Acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
Jess believes in active listening, self-evaluation, and the rule of threes. She believes in believing in people, loving things loudly, and using the arts to bridge the gap between who we are and who we want to be.
